Hi Thanks for commenting. It is really nice to see that the form of Lord Bhudda has found its way into so many homes world wide. When people think about Bhudda they usually think peace, calm, serenity, laughter, happiness and home and garden decorations. It would be really nice if there was a little more understanding and appreciation as to who Lord Buddha is and what his mission here on earth was. Lord Buddha is actually an incarnation of the Supreme Lord who is otherwise affectionately known by millions as Lord Krishna. Bhudda appeared when materialism was rampant and people were mis-representing the meaning and authority of the Vedas for their own purposes. Primarily to do with the killing of animals without reference to the Vedic teachings. Lord Buddha appeared to stop this and to establish the Vedic principles of nonviolence. Each and every avatara, or incarnation of the Supreme Lord, has a particular mission, and they are all described in the scriptures. No one should be accepted as an avatara unless they are referred to by scripture. The Lord does not only appear on Indian soil. He can manifest Himself anywhere, everywhere, and whenever He desires to. In each incarnation, He speaks as much about religion as can be understood by people according to time and circumstance. However the goal is always the same, to lead people to God and to encourage adherence to the principles of religion.
